Florida State University has introduced a new Accelerated Limited Submissions process

Florida State University has introduced an Accelerated Limited Submissions process to address a growing trend of federal funding programs releasing Notices of Funding Opportunities (NOFOs) on short timelines.  When a limited submissions NOFO is released fewer than eight weeks before the agency deadline, the Research Development (RD) team will quickly set a Concept Paper deadline—with a turnaround time often within two to three days—and distribute a campus funding alert. Interested Principal Investigators submit a one‑page Concept Paper describing the project, research team, and budget. A review panel selects the most competitive projects to move forward, allowing FSU to remain responsive and competitive when opportunities emerge with little notice.
