The Florida State University Division of Research is excited to announce the launch of the RAISE (Research Administration Insight, Support, and Engagement) Mentorship Program, a new professional development initiative designed to support and connect members of our research community.

The RAISE Mentorship Program is a six-month structured mentorship experience for those involved in research administration at FSU. This program aims to foster collaboration, build knowledge, and strengthen the skills needed to navigate the complex and evolving landscape of research administration. Through meaningful mentor–mentee partnerships, participants will gain valuable insight, expand professional networks, and enhance their confidence in supporting research excellence.

Enrollment as a mentee in this program is expected to open in April, with a program start date of June 1st. If you’d like to learn more about the application process, or have additional questions, we encourage you to visit the RAISE program website for more information.

Now Accepting Mentor Applications

We are currently seeking experienced and engaged professionals to serve as mentors. Mentors play a critical role in shaping the next generation of research administrators and leaders by sharing their expertise, offering guidance, and supporting professional growth.

Mentors will:

  • Provide guidance and support to a mentee over the six-month program
  • Share practical knowledge and best practices in research administration
  • Help mentees navigate processes, policies, and professional challenges
  • Contribute to building a strong and collaborative research community at FSU

If you are interested in giving back, strengthening your leadership skills, and helping others grow, we encourage you to apply now to become a mentor.

Participate in RAISE. Earn eSPEAR Continuing Education Credit

Both mentors and mentees will have the opportunity to earn eSPEAR Continuing Education credit for their active participation in the program. Mentors will receive eight (8) points, while mentees can receive six (6).

For more information on this program, please visit the RAISE program website.

We look forward to your participation in this exciting new program! Together, we are RAISEing professional growth, engagement, and success of our research community.
