Requirement for NIH Common Forms, Biosketch, and CPOS in SciENcv
As anticipated, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) move to the SciENcv platform for creating and certifying key personnel documents (i.e., Common Forms, NIH Biographical Sketch Supplement, Current and Pending [Other] Support Form) will take effect for due dates on or after January 25, 2026. Please note that the policy requires all key personnel to also have an ORCiD account that is linked to their forms.
There are major changes to the format and content of these documents, so the Office of Research is asking investigators to prepare now for any submissions (i.e., applications, JIT, RPPR, prior approval requests) going in early next year. Please see the full guide notice with expected changes here: https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-26-018.html. There is also a link to additional FAQs.
If you need support navigating the SciENcv platform, we encourage you to reach out to the Research Development team at RD@fsu.edu. We have pre-recorded tutorials available through our On Demand Learning portal from workshops offered earlier this year, which can help you get started. For further assistance with citation management, specifically, please contact the FSU Libraries.
